Installing Python

Customize the installation of Python2.x.x Pi-Lib is written in Python2, this scripting language cannot be interpreted by Windows without the Python interpreter, so we need to install it.

  • Download Python 2.x.x from the Python.org page
  • Run the installation process.
    • Don’t do the typical installation.
    • On the customization page you need to click the option that says ‘Add python.exe to Path’. By default this option is crossed out.
    • Select 'Will be installed on local hard drive’. Now the red cross is replaced by the icon of a hard drive.
    • Click ‘Next’ and wait for the installation to finish.
  • Click Finish.
